Built for the Best In Show category at the 2023 Boardroom International tradeshow, this board stands alone - in my eyes, it has no equal.  With a super deep glowing tangerine tint bottom, pale steel blue opaque deck and subtle ice-tinted volan rail cap, the lamination alone sends me over the moon - the Hibiscus & Plumeria inlay are real pressed flowers collected and pressed from my neighborhood. She sports glassed-on white bonzer fins, and has a 1” cedar stringer with clear, tight, perfect grain.

I keep a subconscious log of the best boards I’ve ever built in my head. This board makes the top three without hesitation - for sheer perfection in build quality, subtle complexity and depth of skillset to make so many intricate and technical details one. You will not hear me fawn over a surfboard like this but once a decade - this surfboard is a level beyond. Where my other top boards were built solely by myself, this one deviates: It is the product of many skilled hands above my own.
